Ivanhoe N. Smith, Managing Director & Senior Investment Manager
Mr. Smith began his investment career as an Institutional Corporate Bond Salesman for Morgan Stanley and Company, operating out of the New York and Chicago offices, eventually ascending to the position of Vice President of Regional Dealer Group. Mr. Smith is an expert in derivatives, foreign currencies, non-dollar bonds, unconventional custom securities, proprietary trading, junk bonds, and corporate and government bonds. Mr. Smith is skilled in securing private and institutional investment capital as well as originating structuring, evaluating and managing investments. Mr. Smith was also Co-founder and Managing Director of Smith Whiley an 18 year old Hartford, Connecticut based private equity firm.

Mr. Smith was a former Marketing Representative, Chevron Chemicals New York, NY, and initiated sales of Petrochemical products to major industrial clients in North America. Ivan also introduced and developed markets for highly technical new products, and was the top regional sales producer for three consecutive years.

Mr. Smith has 33 years of experience as a Fixed Income and Private Placement investment professional. Mr. Smith is a Founder and Managing Director of Coral Island Group, LLC, and is responsible for the General Management of the Company, which includes but is not limited to strategic direction, compliance, investment and asset management, capital accumulation, fund and portfolio creation, customer relations, finance and legal efforts. Mr. Smith is also a member of the management committee. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Chad E. Washington, Managing Director and Operations Manager
Mr. Washington is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Coral Island Group, LLC, and is responsible for the General Management of the Company, which includes but is not limited to strategic direction, compliance, investment and asset management, capital accumulation, fund and portfolio creation, customer relations, finance and legal efforts. Mr. Washington is also a member of the management committee.
 
Mr. Washington’s career includes 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, and 27 years working for multinational companies providing project management and technical support to Government Agencies including International Trade Commission, Department Of Justice, The Pentagon, Multi-lateral Guarantee Agency, National Security Agency, Inter-American Development Bank, FBI, US Treasury, Department Of Commerce, CIA, Security & Exchange Commission, International Monetary Fund, and The World Bank among other customers. Mr. Washington holds an Associates Degree in Electronics/Computer Technology from Electronics Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with relevant Electronic Engineering studies at Capital University in Laurel Maryland.
